About us

Authentic African sport academy is a sport school for both boys and girls. It combines education with sport along with a special focus on football development.

Authentic African sport academy is aimed at educating and redirecting young talents in football who ordinarily would have started and ended their football career on the abrasive streets of this country, instead of harnessing and exporting the raw African talents and dexterity to the world, it is allowed to die a natural death. The academy is really designed to help aspiring players to sharpen their football skills, place them in limelight and facilitate their discovery and recruitment into the big clubs to play alongside football stars as their dream. To achieve this, the academy is sub-divided into two vi3

1 ) STUDENT EDUCATION: the academy runs nursery, primary and secondary school education.

2) PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT: this is the program where children between thirteen and twenty years who have either completed their secondary school education or yet to complete it are nurtured to play professional football.

Joining the academy system is a wonderful opportunity for any young player. On behalf of everyone at the authentic African sport academy (AASA) , I wish you good luck as you begin your journey.

You should expect the quality coaching, the standard of education and the all-round experience to be outstanding. We expect all academy players to show commitment to and respect for their fellow players of all ages, for their coaches and their academy management for both the rules and the spirit of the game.

Authentic African sport academy provide expert services, support and advice to academy players and their parents, and every young player should enjoy and value their academy experience.

Participating in authentic African sport academy system is an achievement to be proud of, however it is important to maintain a balance between the demands of life outside of football, including your education. Ensure that you maintain interests beyond the football pitch and manage expectations of a professional football career because not all academy players will go on to become professional footballers.

PLAYERS / PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

Players will demonstrate positive sportsmanship on and off the field. This includes exercising positive self-control, graciously accepting the outcome of games and treating all players and fans with courtesy and respect.

Players will demonstrate respect for all players and coaches in behavior and language. Profanity will not be tolerated.

Players will demonstrate respect for officials, in part by accepting their decisions . Insulting comments, arguing, gestures and profanity directed at officials will not be tolerated.

Players will practice and work on skill development as is appropriate for the age and competitive level of Play for the team.

5) Players will positively represent authentic African sport academy on and off the field at home and away on both recreational and competitive teams. 6) Players will understand the rules of the game as appropriate for the age and competitive level of the team.

7) Players,in coordination with parents, are responsible for timely notification of absences from games, practices and training to the coach or manager of the team as determined by the team. 8) violence and abuse of any nature will not be tolerated. 9) Players are prohibited from the use of alcohol, illegal drugs and tobacco products while a member of an authentic African sport academy.

PARENTS CODE

1). Encourage positive sportsmanship by example. Remind fellow parent if they get inappropriately carried away with their emotions during the game. accept these reminder gracious when offered by other parents.

2). Be supportive unconditionally-accept wins and loses. the last the child wants to hear from you after a disappointing performance or loss is what they did wrong.

3). Do not coach. leave the coaching to the coaches.

4). Emphasize skill development over winning Take time to help your skills and drills at home.

5). Interact positively with parents of opposing team. Set a good example for players indicative you can compete assertively and still be respectful.

6). Be welcoming to all team families on and off the field. minimize gossip and criticism of teammates, others players and coaches.

7). Support officials games. leave any issues with the game officials to your coach.

8). support the team and club. volunteer during tournaments, participate in fundraises, etc.

9). Please review the practice and game schedules in advance. Notify your coach of any conflict so they are aware that your player will not be able participating on a given day.

10). Encourage your child to have fun and enjoy his / her teammates and the competition.
